MeridianConsensus

Preview-first policy.

Meridian Consensus follows the institutional research norm: the preview is the trial. Read everything that determines whether a commission is the right fit before you pay. Once a report is delivered, the commission is final.

What you can read before commissioning

Every Meridian Consensus surface that decides the fit of a commission is open and free to read in full:

  • A complete specimen report every chapter, every figure, every source, end-to-end. The shape of what you receive on commission.
  • The methodology the five-stage framework, the evidence hierarchy, the validation ensemble, and the chapter spine each commission ships against.
  • The market previews per-market sizing, segmentation, regional split, leading operators, and source-index sampling, free to read on every catalogued market.
  • Research standards sourcing, validation, corrections, and committee review.

There is no paywall on what determines whether a Meridian commission is the right fit. The decision to commission rests on what you can already see.

Commissioned reports are final on delivery

Once a report is generated and delivered to your dashboard, the commission is complete and not refundable. This is the standard across institutional research, a buyer who has read the deliverable cannot return it any more than a reader can return a book they have read. The discipline lets us hold price, protect the analyst team's time, and keep the preview surface as the genuine trial.

Pre-delivery cancellation

If you commission a report and want to cancel before delivery, write to research@meridianconsensus.com immediately, quoting your transaction ID. The pipeline generates a report in under ten minutes from commission, so the window is narrow, but if the message reaches us before delivery, the refund is automatic and full.

Quality exceptions, case-by-case

If a delivered report contains a factual error that we cannot reconcile against published evidence, or fails to meet the scope agreed at commission, the analyst team will review the case. Outcomes can include a partial credit, a re-run at no charge, or, in rare cases, a refund. These reviews are individual, not blanket.

Email research@meridianconsensus.com with your order ID and the specific issue. We respond within one business day.

Pack and Unlimited entitlements

Industry Pack ($1,999), Industry Pack 10 ($2,999), and Strategic Intelligence Unlimited ($8,999) entitlements can be cancelled in full before any reports have been generated against them. Once any report has been generated, the entitlement is in active use, and the per-report rule above applies for each subsequent commission (final on delivery, with quality-exception review available).

Senior Analyst Support, monthly subscriptions

Senior Analyst Support is a separate monthly subscription product (Tracker $89/mo, Strategist $149/mo, Insider $199/mo) layered on top of any commissioned report. Unlike one-time report commissions, subscriptions are governed by their own cancellation rules:

  • Cancel any time from your account page. Your access continues through the end of the current paid period, no further charges are made.
  • 14-day prorated refund window. Within the first 14 days of your initial subscription, cancellation triggers a prorated refund for the unused portion of that period, no questions asked. Email billing@meridianconsensus.com with your subscription ID to request the refund.
  • After 14 days, cancellation is honored at the end of the current paid period; we do not refund partial months. This is the standard for monthly SaaS subscriptions.
  • Renewals do not reset the 14-day window. The window applies to the first paid month only, not to each renewal.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a payment-failed state. We retry per provider rules and email you to update your payment method. Access continues during the retry window; if all retries fail, the subscription is cancelled and access ends at the next period boundary.

Past analyst answers remain accessible in your account history after cancellation, you do not lose what was already delivered.

Custom commissioned research

Custom research engaged through a signed Statement of Work is governed by the terms of the SOW. Cancellation and refund provisions are negotiated per engagement and are not covered by this policy.

Payment disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, write to billing@meridianconsensus.com with the order ID before raising a dispute with the payment provider. Most cases are resolved within one business day.

Why we run this way

Decision-grade research is one of the few product categories where a buyer can't refund a deliverable without retaining its value. A report that has been read, downloaded, exported, or shared cannot be unread. Holding the commitment line at delivery is what allows us to keep prices at a fraction of the incumbents, to publish the methodology, the chapter spine, and a full specimen report for free, and to keep the preview surface honest.

If anything in the preview, the methodology, or the specimen falls short of the depth you need, please don't commission. Tell us what's missing instead, the analyst team reads every note.
